Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Milton on Florida communities, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio visited Sarasota County to assess the situation and discuss recovery efforts. The senator met with various stakeholders, including county and local officials, emergency personnel, small business owners, and National Guard members.
During his visit, Senator Rubio toured the Emergency Operation Center in Sarasota County. He also engaged in discussions about recovery efforts with the owners of Sharky’s at the Pier. Additionally, he spent time meeting with members of the National Guard and expressed his gratitude to them during a visit to the Venice Point of Distribution.
