Senator Rubio visits Charlotte County post-Hurricane Milton

Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio visited Charlotte County to engage with local emergency management teams, officials, and business owners. The purpose of the visit was to assess the storm's impact and review ongoing recovery efforts.

The senator met with emergency management personnel at the Charlotte County Emergency Operations Center. He also interacted with residents of Charlotte County to understand their experiences and concerns following the hurricane.

During his visit, Senator Rubio had discussions about hurricane recovery strategies with Punta Gorda Mayor Lynne Matthews. He also spoke with Doug and Diane Ameral, owners of River City Grill and River City Italia, about how their businesses were affected by the storm.

Additionally, Senator Rubio surveyed damage at Leroy’s in Charlotte County as part of his assessment tour.
