U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) appeared on The Charlie Kirk Show to discuss various issues, including the attempted assassination of President Trump, Nicolás Maduro’s alleged theft of the Venezuelan election, and potential fraudulent donations on ActBlue. Below are key points from the interview.

Regarding the acting Secret Service chief’s testimony to Congress, Rubio expressed concerns about security failures: “I’m glad to see that he said the Secret Service is to blame and isn’t putting it on the local police department... Clearly, they failed.” He questioned whether this failure was due to individual incompetence or systemic problems within the agency. Rubio emphasized that protecting high-profile individuals like Trump should be a priority and criticized communication methods used during such events.

On Nicolás Maduro’s handling of the Venezuelan election, Rubio stated: “We have to stop talking about the Maduro regime as a government. It is not a government. It’s a narco-terrorist organization.” He accused Maduro of collaborating with countries like Iran and China and criticized the Biden administration for lifting sanctions imposed by Trump. According to Rubio, these actions have allowed Maduro to maintain power illegitimately.

Discussing national security interests in Venezuela, Rubio highlighted that many countries rely on Venezuela as a foothold in the hemisphere: “The Chinese are heavily involved in Venezuela. The Russians are heavily involved.” He also pointed out that Venezuela's crisis has led to significant migration issues affecting neighboring countries and beyond.

Rubio also addressed potential fraudulent donations on ActBlue, emphasizing the need for stricter regulations: “I want to pass a law that requires all these online donations using credit cards to require a CVV... Otherwise, you could have some credit card in China putting millions of dollars in small dollar donations into political campaigns in America.” He accused ActBlue of being a money laundering operation due to its lack of stringent donation verification processes.
