U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) appeared on Fox and Friends to discuss various issues, including pro-Hamas protesters disrupting congressional proceedings, his op-ed on terrorists crossing the border, and the Biden Administration’s approach to border security.

Addressing Code Pink’s disruption of congressional proceedings, Rubio stated: “Nothing happens to these people. They habitually and consistently disrupt congressional proceedings. I thought that was a crime, [but] nothing happens to them. They’re arrested, they’re put out on bail, they’re fine. They’re let go, and they’re back out here the next day doing the exact same thing. One day, something really bad is going to happen.”

On the United States' stance regarding Israel and Hamas, Rubio emphasized: “It’s very simple: Israel has to destroy Hamas. Hamas has basically defined victory as survival... This is a group that wants to destroy Israel... You have to degrade it or eliminate it. You cannot allow it to continue to survive.”

He further elaborated on how internal politics in the U.S. might be perceived by Hamas: “If you’re Hamas... you see all of this... You feel like the United States has conditioned what Israel can do against them... That improves not just morale among your terrorist savages but among the world.”

Discussing an immigration bill pushed by Democrats in Congress, Rubio commented: “Illegal immigration is entirely incentive- and perception-based... Nothing in this bill that Chuck Schumer wants us to vote on would change that.” He criticized provisions in the bill for potentially facilitating asylum awards at the border.

Rubio also expressed concerns about terrorists crossing the southern border: “[Illegal immigrants] are coming from parts of the world that we have no data on... We’re talking about potentially thousands of people who are coming from parts of the world where we know ISIS is recruiting.”

Regarding why he believes the Biden Administration is now concerned about border security, Rubio said: “They see the polling, and I also think they are worried about a terrorist attack before November... If someone who crossed a U.S. border illegally over the last three years commits a terrorist act in America, Joe Biden will be blamed for it.”
