FSU’s Great Give sets goal of 5,000 donors for 12th annual giving day

Fund

The Florida State University community will come together on March 8 for the 12th annual FSU’s Great Give, a university-wide day of giving.

This year, rather than aiming for a monetary goal, Florida State is hoping for 5,000 donors to contribute to 100 projects and programs throughout FSU.

During the 24-hour event, gifts can be made online at greatgive.fsu.edu.

Sadiki Perry, assistant director of digital and social giving for the Florida State University Foundation, looks forward to seeing the FSU community come together once again to benefit students.

“For over a decade, FSU’s Great Give has served as a platform for Seminoles across the world to celebrate philanthropy as a collective while strengthening very deserving programs on campus,” Perry said. “In true Seminole fashion, we know they’ll rally behind Florida State this year and help us hit our goal.”

In total, this annual day of giving has seen 26,922 donors participate since its inception in 2011. Last year alone accounted for 4,369 of those donors.

Throughout the day, supporters can give to various initiatives organized by colleges and units across the university. These colleges and units can also unlock additional monetary donations by reaching pre-set donor goals.

Supporters can follow FSU’s Great Give on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates, challenge winner announcements, donor totals and more throughout the day.

For those who would prefer to submit a gift via check or by phone in advance of March 8, please make sure they are earmarked for FSU’s Great Give and received by the FSU Foundation by 5 p.m. EST, on March 9.
