It's a busy week for Jacksonville athletics, with four teams in action this week, including volleyball hosting their first of back-to-back home tournaments.

• The Dolphins begin the first of two consecutive home tournaments this weekend, hosting the Jacksonville Invitational, presented by Hampton Regency.
• The Green and White got their season underway this past weekend, taking part in the North Texas Invite.
• In her first weekend as a 'Phin, Haley Hart recorded a double-digit kill performance against UNLV, with 14.

Sept. 2: vs. UC Riverside - 7 PM
• This past week, Jacksonville had a season-opening draw with Detroit Mercy, claiming their first victory on Sunday against Wright State.
• In the match against Detroit Mercy, JU newcomers Moussa Sabaly and Shane Clancy had breakout performances, with Sabaly claiming two assists, and Clancy his first goal as a 'Phin. Captain Joshua Araujo-Wilson scored the game tying goal in the 88th minute to snatch the draw.
• On Sunday, Olivier Correra scored the game-winning goal off a cross from freshman David Robinson, in the 80th minute.
• Friday's matchup with UC Riverside is the second matchup in program history, the first coming in 2011.

• On Sunday, the Jacksonville women's soccer program claimed their first victory of 2022, defeating Alabama A&M, 1-0.
• Freshman Anaya Black scored the lone goal for JU, the first of her collegiate career.
• Goalkeepers Gretchen Duttenhofer, Courtney Green, and Murphy Sheaff combined for the shutout Sunday.
• The Dolphins' previous five victories have now come courtesy of a shutout.

Sept. 2: at VSU Border Clash
• The Dolphin men's and women's cross country programs begin the 2022 season, this Friday at the VSU Border Clash, hosted by Valdosta State.
• Graduate student Hayleigh Palotti returns for the 'Phins, after multiple first place finishes a season ago.
