City of Jacksonville issued the following announcement on July 22.
The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) and Jacksonville Humane Society are hosting a free adoption weekend, sponsored by PetSmart Charities. Citizens looking for a new furry companion are encouraged to visit one of four locations between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Locations include:
PetSmart Regency (356 Monument Rd. – 32225)
PetSmart Southside (8801 Southside Blvd. – 32256)
Jacksonville Humane Society (8464 Beach Blvd. – 32216)
Animal Care & Protective Services (2020 Forest St. – 32204)
A list of adoptable animals is available at coj.net/pets, along with information about ACPS’ programs and services. City license fee may apply.
