WASHINGTON, D.C. – On September 11, 2023, Congressman John Rutherford (FL-05) released the following statement on Speaker McCarthy’s decision to launch a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden:

“Speaker McCarthy is right to elevate House investigations into President Biden to a formal impeachment inquiry. The serious allegations against the president and his family continue to grow, and the American people deserve to know the full truth. This inquiry further holds the Biden family accountable and sends a message to our foreign adversaries that seats of influence in our government cannot be bought. I stand by the good work being done by House Republican leaders in the ongoing investigations into the culture of corruption coming out of this White House.”
