Rick Scott, U.S. Senator from Florida, posted several statements on his social media account on October 13, 2025, addressing issues related to state pride, domestic terrorism, and the situation in Cuba.

In a message expressing gratitude to another official, Scott wrote on October 13: “Florida couldn’t be prouder. THANK YOU, @SecRubio!”

Later that day, he commented on efforts to address domestic terrorism, stating: “.@POTUS is right! We must treat Antifa as the violent terrorists they are, which is why I’m leading my Stop ANTIFA Act to investigate them and codify Pres. Trump’s EO classifying them as domestic terrorists.” The “Stop ANTIFA Act” mentioned by Scott refers to legislative efforts aiming to formally designate Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and build upon executive orders issued during Donald Trump’s presidency.

Scott also addressed the situation in Cuba in Spanish. He said: “Durante décadas, el régimen cubano ha estado aterrorizado por los patriotas cubanos como @jdanielferrer. A pesar de la tortura, amenazas y abuso que él y su familia experimentaron a diario bajo el salvaje régimen cubano, ¡el mensaje de libertad y democracia de José Daniel” This message highlights his ongoing criticism of the Cuban government and support for Cuban dissidents like José Daniel Ferrer.

Senator Rick Scott has frequently spoken out on these topics during his tenure. He has been an outspoken critic of both Antifa and the Cuban government throughout his career in Congress.
