Rick Scott, U.S. Senator representing Florida, addressed concerns over national security and legislative efforts in a series of posts on his social media account between February 18 and 19, 2026.
On February 18, Scott alleged misuse of an immigration program by the Chinese government, stating, ” Communist China is weaponizing an Obama-era program to secure citizenship for their kids. That gives them the right to vote & every other benefit of being U.S. citizens… We must SHUT DOWN the CCP’s attempt to infiltrate America by passing my One Nation, One Visa Policy Act”. The post called for support of his proposed legislation aimed at changing current visa policies.
Later that day, Scott referenced another legislative effort in a separate post: “We’re seeing incredible support for the SAVE America Act, but we can’t stop until we get this passed. @SenSchumer and his buddies are doing everything they can to stop us—calling it racist, saying it hurts women, you name it. On February 19, Scott commented on municipal policy changes in New York City: “Less than 50 days into being mayor and Mamdani is hiking taxes and slashing the NYPD to pay for “free” government services. New Yorkers are finding out the hard way just how expensive socialism is.”
