Rick Scott, U.S. Senator from Florida, addressed several issues in a series of posts on September 4, 2025. His statements covered topics ranging from national security concerns involving California Governor Gavin Newsom to the restoration efforts for Naples Pier and ongoing support for the Jewish community.

In a post published at 18:05 UTC, Scott expressed concern about Governor Newsom’s relationship with China, stating, “Every minute @CAGovernor Newsom allows Communist China access to his inner circle, he’s putting our national security and the people of California at risk. Cut this tie NOW!”

Later that day, at 21:26 UTC, Scott highlighted his involvement in recovery efforts following Hurricane Ian’s impact on Naples in 2022. He wrote, “I’ve been fighting to restore the Naples Pier since Hurricane Ian hit Naples in 2022. Thank you, @Sec_Noem, for taking action to get this project back on track!” The restoration of the Naples Pier has been an ongoing effort since Hurricane Ian caused significant damage to infrastructure across southwest Florida in late September 2022.

At 22:16 UTC on the same day, Scott commented on U.S. support for the Jewish community and condemned antisemitism. He stated, “Absolutely right, @LeoTerrellDOJ. The United States will ALWAYS stand with the Jewish people and against all forms of antisemitism. We must never forget the evils Hamas terrorists have inflicted on Abigail, her parents, and so many others for 699 days now. These innocent” This message references continued violence by Hamas and marks nearly two years since related incidents began affecting victims such as Abigail and her family.

Senator Rick Scott has previously advocated for stricter scrutiny regarding foreign influence in U.S. politics and has actively participated in disaster recovery initiatives within Florida.
