Senator Rick Scott marked Colombia’s Independence Day with a message to Colombian communities and commented on law enforcement issues and political developments in the United States in a series of posts on his Twitter account.
The following day, July 21, 2025, he posted birthday wishes to a colleague: “Happy birthday, @SenJohnBarrasso!”
Later that same day, Scott addressed concerns about violence against law enforcement officers and made remarks regarding U.S. criminal justice policies under recent administrations. He stated: “Violence against our brave law enforcement officers will NEVER be tolerated. After Joe Biden released these violent criminals into our communities, thank God President Trump and this admin are standing with our heroes in uniform and getting these thugs out!”
Scott is currently serving as a U.S. Senator representing Florida. His public statements often reflect his positions on foreign policy toward Latin America as well as domestic security concerns.
