Senator Rick Scott, representing Florida in the U.S. Senate, posted a series of messages on social media between September 16 and 17, 2025, addressing tributes to individuals and celebrating a local partnership.

On September 16, Scott reflected on the legacy of his friend Charlie, stating: “Charlie’s life taught so many in our nation the importance of open debate and discussion of ideas you believe in. I will carry on the legacy my friend Charlie left behind, and am proud to honor his life with a resolution designating a national day of remembrance for him.”

Later that evening, Scott congratulated two organizations for their collaborative efforts: “Congrats to @FloridaState and @TMHFORLIFE on this transformative partnership to expand health care and educational opportunities in North Florida!” The partnership referenced involves Florida State University and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH), both major institutions in North Florida. Such collaborations are intended to enhance healthcare access and workforce training in the region.

On September 17, Scott expressed condolences following the passing of Sheriff Bill Farmer: “Sheriff Bill Farmer was a kind man, known for his integrity, faith, and commitment to his community. Please join Ann and me in praying for his loved ones and all who knew him in Sumter County.” Sheriff Farmer was recognized locally for decades of public service.

Senator Rick Scott has served as one of Florida’s U.S. Senators since 2019 after previously serving as governor. His recent posts reflect ongoing engagement with community issues across Florida.
