Rick Scott, U.S. Senator from Florida, posted a series of statements on September 13, 2025, addressing the recent loss of Charlie Kirk and expressing support for the Kirk family as well as ongoing international concerns.

In his first post on September 13, Scott wrote: “The bravery, love, and faith shown by Erika Kirk tonight was extraordinary. Continue to lift her up in prayer.

While we mourn the tragic loss of Charlie, we stand with Erika, the Kirk family, and the Turning Point team in fighting every day to carry forward Charlie’s legacy.”

Later that day, he announced a personal gesture in support of the Kirk family: “I am honored to join @TuckerCarlson, @NeilPatelTDC, and thousands of others to support the Kirk family by donating my quarterly Senate salary and honoring Charlie’s legacy.” This statement highlights both his commitment and broader public support for the Kirks following their loss.

In another message posted on September 13 regarding foreign policy matters, Scott commended Senator Marco Rubio’s efforts related to Israel: “Great to see @SecRubio boldly leading the way to enact @POTUS’ pro-peace agenda and stand with our friend and ally, Israel.

Hamas terrorists continue holding innocent people hostage 708 days later. We will not stop until we bring them all home!”

Charlie Kirk was a prominent conservative activist known for founding Turning Point USA. His death has prompted an outpouring of condolences from political figures and supporters across social media platforms. The ongoing reference to hostages held by Hamas follows continued tensions between Israel and Hamas since October 2023.
