Rick Scott, U.S. Senator representing Florida and chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging, has posted a series of statements on his social media account advocating for the SAVE America Act and criticizing Democratic politicians’ approaches to immigration enforcement.
On February 10, 2026, Scott wrote, “America needs the SAVE America Act NOW! Illegal aliens should not be voting in our elections.” Later that day, he continued his criticism of Democratic policies by stating, “While Democrats in sanctuary cities around the country set up checkpoints to keep people out of their neighborhoods, they’re protesting our brave ICE agents for doing the same to keep gangs and criminals out of our country. It’s insanity!”
On February 11, 2026, Scott added another post targeting opposition to his proposed legislation: “The only people opposing the SAVE America Act are Democrat politicians, and that should tell you everything you need to know…”
Scott represents Florida in the U.S. Senate and holds seats on several committees including Budget, Armed Services, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Foreign Relations (official website). He maintains district offices throughout Florida in cities such as Naples, Tampa, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Pensacola (official website). Since assuming office in January 2019 after serving in the U.S. Navy and co-founding a healthcare company (official website), Scott has regularly shared legislative proposals and statements regarding national issues through his official channels (official website).
