Rick Scott, U.S. Senator representing Florida, used his social media platform to comment on Veterans Day and recent political developments. On November 11, 2025, Scott posted a message honoring veterans, particularly his own family members who served in dangerous conditions. The following day, he commented on the federal response to the Palisades Fire and later addressed concerns about American businesses operating in China.

On November 11, Scott wrote: “This Veterans Day, I want to especially acknowledge those like my father and Ann’s father, who fought in dangerous conditions, not knowing if they’d ever return home to their families again. Thank God for their service and all those who have put their lives on the line”.

The next day, Scott criticized state and local officials’ handling of disaster relief efforts following the Palisades Fire while expressing support for former President Trump and his administration: “President Trump, @epaleezeldin, and the entire administration are working every day to deliver for victims of the Palisades Fire, and it’s a shame that state and local officials aren’t doing the same.”

Later on November 12, Scott responded to news involving General Motors (GM) with respect to its business relations with China: “Glad @GM is seeing the writing on the wall—Communist China is our enemy and doing business with them is a BAD IDEA. I’ve been pushing for companies to cut ties with the CCP for years. I encourage every manufacturer to follow GM’s lead.”

Scott has been vocal about U.S.-China relations throughout his tenure in office. He has frequently called for American companies to reduce or end their business dealings with entities linked to China’s government.
