U.S. Senator Rick Scott has recently addressed international and community issues through a series of posts on his official X account, focusing on the situation in Venezuela, the ongoing hostage crisis involving Hamas, and support for Florida’s Jewish community.

On October 4, 2025, Scott referenced the U.S. administration’s position on Venezuela by stating: “.@POTUS, @FBIDirectorKash y toda la administraciĂłn están dejando claro que Maduro y sus matones están en aviso.” The post suggests that President Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray (referred to as “Kash” in error), and other officials are making it clear that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his associates are under scrutiny.

The following day, Scott commented on the ongoing hostage situation involving Hamas. In a post dated October 5, 2025, he wrote: “After holding the hostages for 730 days—nearly two years—these Hamas monsters must release the hostages NOW. President Trump is the most pro-peace, pro-Israel president in our history, and he will not give Hamas another chance.” This statement refers to hostages held since October 7, 2023, during an escalation between Israel and Hamas.

Later on October 5, Scott highlighted his participation in a remembrance event with local Jewish leaders. He posted: “Honored to join the Jewish Federation of Naples for their October 7th Community Day of Remembrance.

As your U.S. Senator, I will always stand with Florida’s Jewish community and our great friend Israel as we pray for peace and the return of every single hostage held by evil”. The event commemorated victims of violence related to recent Middle East conflicts.

Senator Rick Scott represents Florida in the United States Senate. His recent statements align with longstanding U.S. concerns regarding governance and human rights in Venezuela as well as continued bipartisan support for Israel amid ongoing tensions with Hamas.
