Florida Senator Rick Scott has addressed the public through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) regarding recent tragic events involving the U.S. Naval Academy and the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

On September 11, 2025, Scott posted: “My office is actively monitoring the tragic reports coming out of the @NavalAcademy.

Now is the time for every American to PRAY. Pray for our nation. Pray that the violence will end. Pray for the Midshipmen. God help us.”

The following day, on September 12, Scott commented on the passing of Charlie Kirk: “I’m still in shock and devastated that Charlie Kirk is no longer with us. I can’t even imagine how his wife, kids, and family feel. Charlie was a man of faith, and he believed in the power of prayer. Today, I’m asking every American to pray for his family. Let us gather together”

Later that same day, Scott expressed gratitude toward law enforcement agencies involved in responding to these incidents: “Thank you to the local, state, and federal law enforcement who worked tirelessly to find this criminal and bring justice for Charlie Kirk, his family, and all who knew and loved him.”

Senator Rick Scott represents Florida in the United States Senate and frequently uses social media platforms to communicate with constituents about national tragedies and issues affecting public safety.
