Rick Scott, U.S. Senator from Florida, used his social media platform on November 18, 2025, to comment on national security issues and acknowledge a colleague’s birthday.

In a post published at 2:37 a.m. UTC, Scott expressed support for the president’s actions regarding international drug trafficking and accountability for foreign leaders. He wrote, “.@POTUS is putting Americans’ safety and national security first by holding narco-terrorists like Maduro accountable and stopping deadly drugs from coming into our country.”

Later that morning, at 11:50 a.m. UTC, Scott publicly recognized Montana Senate candidate Tim Sheehy’s birthday with the message: “Happy birthday, @TimSheehyMT!”

In another post at 3:33 p.m. UTC, Scott referenced an appearance on Fox News Sunday to discuss healthcare policy. He stated, ” ICYMI: I joined @ShannonBream on @FoxNewsSunday to discuss Democrats’ Obamacare disaster & my ideas to fix it.”

Scott has been an outspoken critic of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and U.S. policies he considers lenient toward narcotics trafficking from Latin America. He has also consistently advocated for changes to the Affordable Care Act (commonly known as Obamacare), aligning with Republican efforts in Congress to revise or repeal the law.
