Rick Scott, U.S. Senator representing Florida, posted a series of tweets on February 13, 2026, addressing issues related to immigration, government regulation, and congressional oversight.

In his first post at 12:01 UTC, Scott highlighted the story of an immigrant entrepreneur and criticized government bureaucracy: “Fernando is a true example of the American Dream. He moved here at a young age and worked hard every step of the way. America is FULL of opportunities, but too often government gets in the way. I’m working to cut Washington’s red tape so more businesses like Nando Grill can https://t.co/XtBOBOEQjX”.

Later that day at 17:13 UTC, Scott made comments regarding Democratic Party policies on immigration and voting: “The far-left is in TOTAL CONTROL of today’s Democrat Party. The proof is in their policies: Dems want open borders, taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens, and to stop the SAVE America Act, which would keep illegals from voting in our elections. IT’S INSANITY! https://t.co/9nsGVqfPUG”.

At 17:57 UTC on the same day, Scott addressed an ongoing congressional investigation involving Los Angeles city officials: “I requested these emails in OCTOBER after we launched our congressional investigation to get answers—enough of the stall tactics. @MayorOfLA Bass, I fully expect to receive these emails & ALL REQUESTED RECORDS ASAP. https://t.co/pR7Srv6C2Y https://t.co/xwmUScOxBd”.

Scott serves as chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging and holds seats on several other committees including Budget and Armed Services for the 119th Congress (official website). Representing Florida since January 2019, he maintains district offices across major cities such as Naples and Tampa. Before his Senate tenure began in January 2019, Scott served in the U.S. Navy and co-founded a healthcare company.

Scott regularly uses his public platforms to share legislative initiatives and commentary on national matters affecting Florida residents.
