Senator Rick Scott, representing Florida in the U.S. Senate, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing ongoing political issues and commemorating Veterans Day.

On November 10, 2025, Scott criticized Democrats for an ongoing government shutdown. He wrote, “It’s been 40+ days since Democrats started their shutdown. The result? 40+ days of our FAA, TSA, federal workers & so many others not getting paid, over a week of our nation’s poorest families worried about their next meal, & days of pointless flight cancellations. It’s time to”.

Later that day, Scott addressed actions by the Department of Justice under President Joe Biden’s administration. In his post from November 10, he stated: “What Joe Biden’s DOJ did to weaponize the federal government against @MarshaBlackburn, me, and our colleagues with the Arctic Frost witch hunt is disgusting. If they’ll come after us, they’ll go after anybody! We’re asking @AGPamBondi to use every tool at her disposal to”.

On November 11, marking Veterans Day in the United States—a national holiday dedicated to honoring military veterans—Scott expressed gratitude towards service members. He posted: “This Veterans Day, I want to thank the brave American heroes who have served and continue to serve our country. While we can never repay you for your service and sacrifice, know that as your U.S. Senator, I will always fight for you.”

The current government shutdown referenced by Scott has led to significant disruptions in federal services and affected various sectors including aviation security and assistance programs for low-income families.

The mention of an “Arctic Frost witch hunt” refers to an investigation reportedly involving several lawmakers; Scott alleges misuse of federal authority by the Department of Justice under President Biden’s leadership.

Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11 across the United States as a day of recognition for those who have served in the armed forces.
