On May 11, 2025, Rutherford extended Mother’s Day wishes to women nationwide, expressing gratitude for their contributions. He specifically acknowledged his wife, Pat, and other mothers in his family for their daily efforts in caring for loved ones.
In a post dated May 12, 2025, Rutherford reflected on his role as Co-Chair of the House Bipartisan Policy Working Group (BPWG) and the Bipartisan House Law Enforcement Caucus. He mentioned hosting members of Congress and law enforcement groups such as the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) and Federal Law Enforcement Officers during an event. John Rutherford was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1952 and currently resides in Jacksonville. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University obtained in 1974.
