Here in our special city, we have a program called Atlantic Beach Cares that enables our utility customers to assist others in financial need with their utility bills. By choosing to regularly donate a few extra dollars a month on top of your own utility bill, you can help folks who live in our city and are facing temporary financial hardships such as a loss of job, illness, and other unexpected expenses. The City of Atlantic Beach and Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, Inc. (BEAM) administer the program, which is totally funded by contributions from our utility customers. If you can and wish to participate, stop by City Hall to sign up; visit www.coab.us/ABCares; email info@coab.us; or call (904) 247-5804.
