North Florida Swimming ended its participation at the 2026 ASUN Championships on Saturday at the Rosen Aquatic Center in Orlando, Florida. The team broke seven program records over the four-day meet.
During the competition, North Florida secured five spots in the 100 Freestyle C Final. The Ospreys also had two swimmers advance to the finals in the 200 Backstroke and four more in the 200 Breaststroke. Freshman Grace Burton achieved a personal-best time in the 1650 Freestyle event.
The championships concluded with the 400 Freestyle Relay, where senior Victoria Torres recorded her best-ever leadoff split.
Head Coach Ian Coffey said, “Today was the final day of the ASUN Championships. We had very good swims in the morning session in all the events. Our 100 Freestyle group earned five spots in the C Final. We had two make it back in the 200 Backstroke for final. Four swimmers returned for the 200 Breaststroke. The 1650 swimmers had really good times with Grace Burton swimming a personal best. In the 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke and 200 Breaststroke we earned a good amount of points.”
Coffey added, “We finished up the meet with our 400 Freestyle Relay with Victoria Torres swimming a personal best with her leadoff swim. It was a good meet. We broke records and swam a ton of personal bests. We’ll be better and ready for next year.”
The Ospreys now await news on qualifiers for the upcoming National Invitational Championship scheduled for March 12-14 at Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training in Ocala.
