It is only a drill. Emergency training in Mandarin area July 13

0Comments

Duval County School Police and other staff will be conducting training in the Mandarin area Wednesday morning, July 13.

People in the area may notice some police and emergency activity around Mandarin High School and Crown Point Elementary School. This is all connected to training and security drills and should not be cause for alarm.

The district is practicing its procedures for safely uniting students and families in the event of a school evacuation.  School begins on Aug. 15, and the district uses the summer months for this type of training and professional development.
