The Edward Waters University Women’s Golf program, Women of Color Golf, and Girls on the Green Tee have announced a partnership that will launch a community-based outreach mentoring program.  This is a dual-purpose initiative that will engage the freshman women’s golf team at EWU and Women of Color Golf, Corporate Executives, Business Professionals, LPGA/USGA Girls Golf, and Golf Industry Leaders in a unique mentor/mentee environment to introduce the program.

Golf returns to Edward Waters University thanks to a generous donation of $50,000 from The PLAYERS Championship and coupled with the WOCG, there will be many opportunities for the team to grow on and off the greens.

The mission of WOCG is to promote diversity and inclusion in the sport of golf and to increase minority participation for women, girls, and communities of color through education, training, on-course play, mentoring and career-related opportunities.

As part of the Student-Athlete mentoring initiative, Women of Color Golf, Women In Golf Foundation and Golf. My Future. My Game collaborated with Women’s Designer Clothing Sponsors, Amazon and PGA Golfer, Xander Schauffele, to present over $5000.00 to EWU women’s golf team in clothing, golf shoes, golf bags, handbags, golf accessories and more.

Additional golf apparel sponsorship funding of $40,000 will be awarded to other HBCU’s and (10) other grassroots community-based golf organizations in the United States, that promote the growth of the game of golf for youth, girls, and programs in diverse communities.
