U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) has completed a district-wide tour across Northeast Florida, focusing on the effects of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which he describes as a tax cut for working families. The tour took place throughout August and included meetings with residents in Fernandina Beach, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs, Jacksonville, and Middleburg.
During these visits, Congressman Bean spoke with various community members about how the policy is affecting their daily lives. “Every stop on this tour was a powerful reminder that tax cuts for working families are a lifeline for Americans who keep our economy running. I met servers who get to keep their hard-earned tips, nurses, and warehouse employees who are no longer taxed on their overtime, and retirees whose Social Security checks now go further. I was proud to support the largest tax cut in history to deliver real relief for real people—right where it’s needed most,” said Congressman Bean.
The events highlighted several components of the bill: eliminating taxes on tips and overtime pay; removing taxes from Social Security income; providing regulatory and financial relief for small businesses; increasing funding for Medicaid; strengthening national defense; supporting law enforcement initiatives; investing in American energy independence; expanding child relief tax credits; modernizing defenses; and boosting rural hospital funding.
Aaron Bean currently represents Florida’s 4th district in Congress after succeeding John Rutherford in 2023 (https://www.congress.gov/member/aaron-bean/B001323).
