Jacksonville University junior Claire Mrukowski has been named to the 2026 Preseason All-ASUN Team, according to an announcement from the conference office.

Mrukowski has played a key role in Jacksonville’s beach volleyball lineup over the past two seasons. In 2025, she participated in 35 matches, all with teammate Emily Kubicsko, and achieved 16 victories. This performance led to her being named Second-Team All-ASUN and placed her among the top eight in career wins at Jacksonville.

During her freshman year in 2024, Mrukowski tied the program’s freshman win record with 16 victories. She played in 36 matches, partnering with Kristina Nika for most of them and also competing alongside her twin sister Meredith.

“Claire has been a cornerstone of our lineup over the past two seasons,” said head coach Dylan Hough. “During that time, she’s demonstrated tremendous growth as a player and embraced an even greater responsibility as a leader and captain this year. She has consistently proven that she can compete with the very best in the ASUN Conference, and we’re incredibly proud that the conference has recognized her with this preseason honor.”

Mrukowski has also contributed to Jacksonville’s indoor volleyball team. As a sophomore in 2024, she appeared in 12 matches and recorded over 100 kills along with significant contributions on defense. In her freshman indoor season, she played more than 60 sets and made notable offensive plays against teams such as Samford.

The Preseason All-ASUN Team includes players from several other universities: Cameron Humphries, Mackenzie Murphy, and Presley Murray from North Florida; Nicole DeOliveira and Alexis Keeter from FGCU; Marta Carro, Maria Ozaeta, and Julia Radelczuk from Stetson; and Selma Robinson from North Alabama.

Jacksonville will begin its season at home at Payne Sand Volleyball Courts at Dolphin Beach. The team is scheduled to face three ASUN Conference opponents—#14 Stetson on Friday morning, FGCU on Friday afternoon—and will play South Carolina on Saturday morning before closing out against North Florida later that day.
