Jacksonville is preparing for the annual Florida-Georgia football game, a long-standing event that draws fans from both universities and highlights the city’s role as host of one of college football’s most recognized rivalries. The game will take place at EverBank Stadium, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1933.

The city has coordinated with several partners including Legends Global, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD), and Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) to ensure a safe and organized event. “The passionate fans also play a crucial role, infusing the weekend with energy and transforming this rivalry into a shared experience that showcases Jacksonville’s unity and highlights its vibrant community,” the city stated.

On game day, stadium parking lots will open at 8:00 a.m., with all parking spaces pre-sold. Fans are advised to display their parking hangtags when approaching the stadium. Gates to EverBank Stadium will open at 1:30 p.m., ahead of the 3:30 p.m. kickoff. To reduce congestion before kickoff, attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Security procedures include magnetometers that allow fans to keep their clear bags, cell phones, and keys on them as they enter.

Due to ongoing construction at EverBank Stadium, guests are advised to use the ramp nearest their entry gate for direct access once gates open at 1:30 p.m.

Transportation options include Gameday Xpress shuttle services provided by JTA from various locations around Jacksonville. The service will run from 12:30 p.m. until one and a half hours after the game ends. More details and ticket information can be found on the JTA website at www.jtafla.com/ride-jta/bus-schedules-and-services/gameday-xpress/.

Additionally, GEICO will offer complimentary Game Day Shuttle service from select parking lots—Lot S, Lot X, Lot Z, and Met Park—with pick-up and drop-off points near each lot entrance. This service operates for three hours prior to kickoff and one hour after the game concludes.

For assistance on game day, six Information & First Aid Zones (IFAZ) & Guest Services presented by 988 Florida Lifeline will be available from noon until thirty minutes after postgame. These zones provide medical help, first aid supplies, cell phone charging stations, transportation information, directions, water, and other resources.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will share public safety updates throughout the weekend in coordination with city officials and representatives from both universities. Updates regarding road closures or traffic conditions can be accessed through JSO’s website at jaxsheriff.org or via Twitter @JSOPIO.
