The City of Jacksonville has announced the fall phase of its Jax Litter League competition, adding a football theme to encourage community participation in local cleanups. The initiative aims to motivate residents to form teams and compete for prizes while improving neighborhood cleanliness.

The team that wins this season will receive exclusive Jaguars merchandise and tickets to attend a home game.

“Jacksonville is at its best when we come together for our city,” said Mayor Donna Deegan. “Let’s go for a touchdown in our fight against litter, getting neighborhoods across the city involved in a friendly competition. This is Duval pride in action.”

Launched in July 2025, the Jax Litter League encourages teams to collect litter from public spaces and report their progress. The first champions, Operation G.L.A.D.D. Dads led by Michael Robinson, collected over 50 bags of trash and bulky debris throughout Jacksonville.

This fall, participants can earn points by picking up litter from streets, parks, and other public areas. The league mascot, T.P. McClean the raccoon, continues to promote the message: Keep Jax Cute, Don’t Pollute!

Neighborhoods, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups are invited to register teams for the fall season through November 30, 2025. More information about registration and prizes is available at www.jacksonville.gov/jaxlitterleague.
