U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean, representing Florida’s 4th district, has recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative efforts related to government funding and the protection of essential aviation personnel during potential government shutdowns.
On October 1, 2025, Bean stated, “By the way— The Republican bill is the same short-term funding extension that virtually all Democrats voted to pass 13 times during the Biden Administration.”
Two days later, on October 3, he addressed concerns about federal aviation workers: “Did you know that Air traffic controllers and other essential FAA personnel do not receive paychecks during government shutdowns despite being required to work to keep the nation’s flight schedules safe and on time? That’s why I’ve introduced a bill, the ‘Aviation Funding…'”
Later that day, Bean reiterated his position with another post: “A government shutdown shouldn’t jeopardize public safety. That’s why I introduced the Aviation Funding Stability Act—to ensure air traffic controllers and essential FAA personnel continue to get paid. It’s a preemptive strike against chaos in the control tower, keeping our skies…”
Aaron Bean has represented Florida’s 4th District in Congress since 2023 after replacing John Rutherford. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of both the Florida House of Representatives (2000-2008) and the Florida Senate (2012-2022). Born in Fernandina Beach in 1967, Bean graduated from Jacksonville University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
