Aaron Bean, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 4th district, has recently addressed several issues through a series of public statements on social media. His comments have touched on violence against law enforcement officers and recent legislative achievements impacting Northeast Florida families.

On July 9, 2025, Bean commented on an incident involving a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officer: “What happened to JSO Officer Luis Mercado III is horrible. My thoughts are with his family, and I’m praying for his speedy recovery. These acts of senseless violence against our law enforcement officers are precisely why the @HouseGOP is fighting to restore law and order.”

Later that day, Bean highlighted new legislation aimed at providing tax relief to local families: “The One Big Beautiful Bill is now the law of the land—and that’s a win for Northeast Florida families! It protects over 400,000 taxpayers from a 25% tax hike, ensuring a family of four keeps $1,372 in their pockets—the equivalent of 8 weeks of groceries. Real relief. Real”

On July 10, 2025, Bean discussed broader legislative efforts by House Republicans: “The @HouseGOP has codified 28 executive orders into law through the One Big Beautiful Bill—turning bold vision into lasting policy. We’re in lockstep with the @WhiteHouse to deliver results, restore accountability, and usher in the Golden Age of America.”

Aaron Bean succeeded John Rutherford as representative in 2023 after previously serving in both chambers of the Florida legislature. Born in Fernandina Beach in 1967 and a graduate of Jacksonville University (BS, 1989), Bean continues to reside in his hometown while representing constituents at the federal level.
