Aaron Bean, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 4th district since 2023, has recently shared insights on the “One Big Beautiful Bill” through a series of tweets. Bean, who succeeded John Rutherford in Congress and previously served in both the Florida House of Representatives and Senate, outlines the bill’s objectives aimed at reforming Medicaid and taxpayer-funded benefits.
On June 19, 2025, Aaron Bean stated that “The One Big Beautiful Bill protects Medicaid for Americans who truly need it.” He emphasized that the bill aims to eliminate waste by discontinuing benefits for at least 1.4 million illegal immigrants whom he claims are exploiting the system.
In a subsequent tweet on June 20, 2025, Bean elaborated on another aspect of the bill: “The One Big Beautiful Bill implements popular work requirements for able-bodied Americans receiving taxpayer-funded benefits.” He highlighted that these requirements are reminiscent of those from the Clinton era and include work, volunteerism, education, or training mandates intended to improve quality of life.
Later on June 20, Bean addressed fiscal concerns related to environmental policies by stating that “The One Big Beautiful Bill eliminates hundreds of billions of dollars in Green New Scam tax credits.” According to him, this measure would prevent credits from benefiting China and result in savings exceeding $500 billion annually for taxpayers.
Born in Fernandina Beach in 1967 and an alumnus of Jacksonville University with a Bachelor’s degree earned in 1989, Aaron Bean continues his legislative career focused on fiscal responsibility and social welfare reforms.
