In partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Prudential Financial, Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) offers Veterans, transitioning Service members (TSMs), spouses, their family members, and caregivers, the opportunity to participate in the Wellness Wednesday Financial Educational series. The series aims to address financial literacy gaps across the military and Veteran community.

The program consists of two components - an online website portal available at www.prudential.com/Veteran, which contains a wealth of financial literacy information and resources. The second component is the Wellness Wednesday Financial education series, held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, focusing on a variety of topics such as purchasing a home, paying for college, planning for retirement, and learning essential financial skills like saving, budgeting, and investing.

The initiative is designed to empower participants with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions. By collaborating with industry experts and leveraging online resources, the program seeks to equip Veterans, TSMs, and their families with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of personal finance.

Participants can look forward to engaging sessions that cover a range of financial topics, providing practical insights and guidance. The series serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking to enhance their financial literacy and secure their financial well-being.

The upcoming session titled "Your Social Security Benefits" is scheduled for May 15, 2024, with two sessions at 12:00 pm EDT and 3:00 pm EDT. This session will offer valuable information on maximizing Social Security benefits and planning for retirement.

Through initiatives like the Wellness Wednesday Financial Education series, OTED, the VA, and Prudential Financial are committed to supporting Veterans and their families in achieving financial stability and success.
